Taunton constituency has a population of over 100,000 people. It includes the whole of the borough of Taunton Deane and some of the area covered by West Somerset District Council.

The largest towns are Taunton - the county town of Somerset - and Wellington. It also includes Wiveliscombe, Dulverton, Milverton, Cotford St Luke, Bishops Lydeard and North Curry, as well as dozens of smaller villages.
